This was a great story wrapped up in a shorter, but full story. Loved it. Loved the characters, loved the regular life, loved the supporting characters. It was fun and a whirlwind, but not overly light and fluffy. I enjoyed it very much.

I read the first two books of this series and loved them. Even though I was not approved for an arc of this one, I couldn’t wait to read it. I’m almost strictly a romance reader, but every so often I enjoy romantic suspense. This one was fantastic. The romance was not pushed to the side for the suspense, it was weaved thru and balanced well. The kids were amazing, I loved them and had a smile on my face every time they were on the page. So adorable! I didn’t know for sure at any point how things were going to work out. Very well written, definitely a page turner. I have already downloaded more books from A.L. Jackson and am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I love a grumpy sunshine, and when the grump is the woman, it’s a fun spin. I ahve to say ive never heard the book reference of ‘black cat’. I have heard ‘golden retreiver hero’ but the black cat is new to me. I have to say, I’m not really a fan of either descriptor, but that didnt stop me from enjoying these 2 characters. I loved this story, it was so fun with all the crazy residents of Blueball. The last chapter and epiloge were perfection. I absolutely adored this entire book. It is easily one of my favorites from this author. I can’t wait for the next book from Blueball!

I adored this story! I’ve read the whole series, and cannot pick a favorite. This had a lot of fun in it, but also some more serious times. The scene in the pool house had me cracking up, just everything about it was ridiculous and so funny. I appreciated that there was no miscommunication, no annoying “just talk to each other!” moment. I loved all the characters that were involved, I loved Dash’s dad’s story on the side. Just an enjoyable book all the way around.

I really enjoyed this story. I’ve been reading the Slayers books all along, but I was fuzzy on details. Didn’t matter too much as this works just fine as a stand alone. I loved the second chance romance, and I liked that there was reasoning, it wasn’t one of those silly miscommunication. And best yet, no 3rd act breakup!

Mignon Mykel is back in Kindle Unlimited
She’s one of my favorite authors, and I recommend her whenever someone is looking for sports/hockey romance, buy I know a lot of people are hesitant to try a new author. Well now that she’s back in Kindle Unlimited (except for the O’Gallagher’s) you can check her books out risk free. Start with Interference. From there move on to the Playmaker because it’s so amazing. Then go to Refuse to Lose and Angels and Assists. She writes in one world, so even though it looks like 2 different series, they all blend together. After those two, jump back to Butterfly Save. You can go with Drunk Girl next, or start Free Bird and Lone Wolf. Then there’s Caught in the Act, Saving Grace, Lost Withiut You, and Homewrecker. All pretty much stand alones, but you’ll see a familiar face or two. Enjoy falling down the rabbit hole of Mignon Mykel!

How are you doing so far on your 2024 reading challenge? When I looked at my total today, I thought 27 books in just under two months was fantastic, until I saw that I need to read 3.5 books per week to meet my goal. That seems a little daunting right now because work has been crazy and I haven’t been reading nearly as much as normal. I believe I only completed two books this past week. I know 2 books is still something, but we’ll below my normal. There’s still so much time to read left in the year, so maybe a few shorter stories will help me get ahead!
