Be prepared for a book hangover. If you are an audio book person, it’s an absolute must for this story. Shane East in all his British glory, and Samantha Brentmoor bring this story to life in their amazing duet narration. I had plans to bounce back and forth between the audio and the ebook, but not even one full chapter into the audio, I knew I had to listen to the whole thing. Little bombs kept going off, keeping me absolutely hooked to the story. I absolutely loved this book, and how it all unfolded. The relationship, the banter, the bits and pieces. I was smiling and laughing and just loving every minute of this book. My new all time favorite Karla Sorensen books, but one of the top books I’ve read this year.

I didnt realize how many first person POV books i read. This one was 3rd person, and it took some time for my brain to adjust.

I’m not big on enemies to lovers, but I’ve really enjoyed this authors books, so I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t hate. I enjoyed this quite a bit, especially the side track of King and Delilah. I liked the characters a lot, even though Soren first seemed like he wasn’t going to be very likablebband I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.

I liked this one better than the first book, although it felt a little fast. It’s hard to explain without giving anything away. I liked the second chance aspect, and I was really glad that I didn’t read any of the tropes before, I liked having certain things be a surprise.

I appreciate that this author writes characters that are more my own age. I’m getting too old for the college kids. I remembered reading the sisters book during Christmas, I just didn’t remember much else about the family. Neve was definitely a stubborn one, but I so understood her. I liked how naturally the story unfolded. I loved how they initially met, and how they circled each other until the timing was right. I want to think that everything happens for a reason in all of our lives.

I hated that I accidentally found out the main trope before I started reading, I always prefer to go in blind, but knowing what it was made it hard for me to get into at the beginning. Just waiting for it to happen. Once I got a little ways in, I started enjoying it more, and stayed up too late trying to get it finished. Fitz was too perfect, no wonder jennifer was skeptical! I have read a lot of books in this world, but not all of them, so once the family got involved, I was a little overwhelmed with the number of characters. All in all, I enjoyed it.

I don’t want to see this series end, I really don’t. Sugar Creek has been such a comforting series. Like there’s a nostalgic factor that just draws you in, something about the charactersand the small town that just feels so welcoming. I was in love with this one from the beginning, Gus is an unexpected gem to the story. I loved seeing all the other characters still making themselves known too. Everyone is just so happy and content in the end, you can’t help but have a big smile on your face as you finish.
