I wouldn’t really call this enemies to lovers. I dont want to give anything away, but I personally would not use this trope as a descriptor for this story. It started off iffy for me. I’m like, come on, ask some questions! But as things started rolling, I forgot all about it and just sank into this love story. Fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it, this book makes you believe it. I thought I knew how things would hash out, then there was a twist I didn’t see coming, and I loved the unexpected. Parts are sappy and too good to be true, but it just makes you happy to read it anyway. Laird is too good to be true, but clearly flawed in just the right ways.

I have loved all the books from Camp Firely Falls, especially these from Kait Nolan. It was a multi author series a few years back, and I was so happy to see Kait resurrect the series. I read the original version of this one when it came out before, and I love that it’s been expanded with more content. A more complete story, even though it’s stil on the shorter side.

I loved this book more than I expected to. Age gap and work place romance are not in my top 5 favorite tropes, but Adriana Locke is one of my favorite authors, so I knew it would be good, I just didn’t expect this good. Dummy me. The age gap was actually pretty irrelevant to the story as a whole, so if its notmally not your jam, dpnt let that keep you from reading this one.
I loved getting the background, I loved the family dynamic, which Ms Locke is just a master of. Mimi was fantastic, especially once she moved, she was absolutely living her best life! I really appreciated the scene between Jason and his dad. It was a real turning point in both Jason’s life and this series. I could go on and on, but I don’t want to accidentally spoil anything.

This is one of those books that you simultaneously can’t put down, but don’t want to end. I just wanted to savor this story, it was that good. I was pumped to dive in when I realized this was Liam, the grump who got the kid. It didn’t disappoint at all. I loved how much more to the story there was. I loved his little nicknames for Mira. How she loved him. It gets emotional, but it’s also so sweet, so lovable, I can’t even put better words to it. I read this series a few years ago, and it’s one that really stuck with me. Very emotional overall, but there are still lighter, funny moments (with a ornery grandma). The series is a family, not all blood related, that figure out life together, all woth different damages from their past. Very well written, and like I said, sticks with you.

I loved this story! I did not read book one, but when I saw this was friends to lovers, I couldn’t resist this one. I listened to the audio and was so pumped that it was duet! Both narrators did a fantastic job. I know I’ve listened to him (Troy Duran) but I’m not sure I’ve I’ve listened to her (Rose Dioro) before, but loved them both. This book was pretty quick paced, I never got bored and loved how little bits unfolded. There were some great scenes, some made me laugh, I can only imagine the faces I made in my car listening as a few tid bits came to light. I appreciated how things came out too, not to give anything away, but it just worked perfectly.
