This book is fairly new, so I’m surprised it’s free already. I’ve posted many times about Mignon Mykel, I love her work so much. I posted a review when this one first came out, and today at least, it’s free!

Be prepared, I found a bunch of free books today, and here’s the first. Clean, but I’ve read a bunch of books by this author, I’m just not sure if I’ve read this one yet.

First, don’t be scared of by the cover or title. I’m not a cat person and I almost passed on this book. I only went for it because I’ve read a bunch of Helena Hunting books, and have enjoyed them all. This is almost two different stories, one before Miles and Kitty like each other, and one after. It’s a balance of emotion, I laughed out loud a few times, there are some heavy aspects, silly scenes, just a lot going on. I ended up liking it more than I thought with the whole cat thing. Cats are a big part, but not all of it, it works. There’s a lot of family dynamic, and in true Helena Hunting form, a link to hockey, which was a nice surprise.
Second, because there was a first of all, the price is steep. I don’t normally recommend books this expensive because I myself am quite cheap. Check your library apps, add it to your list and wait for a sale, or hope it gets put in Kindle Unlimited, because it us a good story. I can’t fault anyone for not wanting to, or being able to drop that much on one book. It’s worth waiting for if need be.

This was released accidentally months ago with an incomplete file. It’s all set now! I just uploaded the correction, so I’m good to go to finish. With all the issues, it’s just .99 right now, but just know, it is complete, so no worries about picking it up. I got about halfway thru, but since I have book amnesia (self diagnosed, made up affliction, of course) I’ll be starting this one over from the beginning as soon as I’m caught up with other arc commitments. Grab it now while it’s so cheap, book one in Back to O’Gallaghers.

I loved going back to O’Gallagher’s for this story! You get all the familiar of the place, but a new set of characters to get to know. Jake was just toooooo good, I adored him! Mignon Mykel writes such good, real characters, you can always find something endearing to both the men and the women. I love her books so much. I started this one when it accidentally came out in January, not realizing until it was too late that it was incomplete. When I got the update last week, I went ahead and started over from the beginning. Her stories are worth waiting for, if you just have patience. I can’t wait for more of these two and discovering more characters with this revisit to O’Gallagher’s.

It didn’t take long to slip back into this series. And from book 1, this is a match that was unexpected, but thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the opposite attract (on paper anyway) and then my jaw dropped at about the 80% mark. I love all Kait Nolan, and this series has been set so differently than what I’m used to from her writing (southern small town) but I’m addicted. You know how when you fall in love with a book, you don’t want it to end? You want more of the couple and their life and what happens after The End. Well here, you get that. If you weren’t done with Lillie and Keller from Royally Not Ready, you get so much more in this book. It’s so satisfying reading more from these too, and holy cow is this one amazing! It’s funny and dramatic, dirty, sexy, romantic – all of it! I couldn’t put this one down, there was so much excitement and story. Not a sequel let down in the least. Make sure you read Royally Not Ready first and be prepared to spend some hours with these two. Both free to read with Kindle Unlimited, and trust me, they’re worth it.

I’ve read this entire series, and it’s really sweet. It’s a younger age bracket than I normally read, but I enjoyed the stories. Jess Mastorakos is a clean author, not closed door, just no sex at all. Not lacking in chemistry and romance though, which I appreciate. I’ve never heard of this author until yesterday. Author Claire Kingsley mentioned her in her newsletter. Sadly, just like Claire, Becca Taylor lost her husband this week. I don’t know details, but I do know she’s young to be a widow. I discovered Claire Kingsley 2 years ago when I heard news of her husband’s sudden passing, and I made that summer the summer of Claire and read every one of her books, and now she’s one of my favorite authors. In support of Becca Taylor, I just went ahead and bought this 4 book series that’s on sale for just .99 per book. Since I don’t have Kindle Unlimited right now, I supported her with the purchase instead. I’ve never read her, but someone sent a screenshot of a page, and these books are spicy. Not sure the heat level, but it’s not clean or closed door. If you have KU, give it a go, it’s free anyway, right?

We all couldn’t wait for Bank’s book and it did not disappoint. My one complaint was that it wasn’t long enough! I want so much more, I loved it. I laughed so many times, and darn it, I even cried. There were these 2 little moments that caught me, and I understood exactly what they were feeling, and I just cried. The author expressed the issue, the feeling so perfectly, it hit home. I loved seeing into Banks, where he was coming from, why he did all the crazy things, and it just made me love him more. I really hope we see plenty more of him and Sara in Foxx’s book, can’t wait!
