It’s hard to belive another year has come and gone. I swear, the older I get, the faster the months and years go. The past couple of years I’ve made a point to utilize Goodreads to keep track of what I’ve read. I used to just review everything I read on Amazon, but like a lot of people, I’ve had issues reviewing and realized they are not the most reliable way for me. I switched to Goodreads and it has definitely helped. I’m not a tecky person to do spreadsheets or anything like that, so Goodreads is easy enough to keep track. 2021 I had a different job where I could read everyday at work. On slow days I was reading a book a day, and ended up reading over 300 books that year. I wish I knew what I had the year before!

This past year, not knowing how much reading time I’d be able to squeeze in with the job change, I lowered my goal quite a bit. I was pleasantly surprised at how many books I got thru!

I’ve decided to keep my 2023 goal the same at 150. I don’t really care about reaching the goal, I just like keeping track if how many, and in cases where I can’t remember, what books I’ve already read. I read, reread, and listen to audio books, so these totals are a combination. There were several books I read for a 2nd or even 3rd time this year! It’s hard to justify sometimes, especially with the number of books on my kindle, but why not? If I enjoyed it, it’s not a waste of time.
