It’s live early!!

Another addicting story from this author. It’s a long one, but so good. I’m trying hard to give a review without spoilers. Fate plays a heavy hand, which I loved. There’s sacrifice, and love and loyalty. Not just between Harbor and Lark, but within their families. I understood the why of Harbors plan, even if I couldn’t agree on all of it. I can see how it made sense, and was needed in a way. The last few chapters were so satisfying, just seeing how the pieces of the puzzle were coming into place. I loved this romance. It felt like something more even from the very beginning.

Slight plot reveal, stop if you like to go in blind like me…..

I’m sure there will be people who don’t like Harbor’s plan. People will hate the time frame. The wasted time. Taking options away. I know they will because people have complained about a certain Meghan Quinn book for this plot twist. But I understood it. I get why it was needed, not only for the story to move along, but sometimes you just need the time to grow, to figure things out. You may not like it, but it’s needed to get to you the happy ending. Hope that still keeps it vague enough to enjoy!

I’ve been quiet lately, sorry! I just finished an arc of the next SL Scott book and it took me a few days longer than normal to get thru. It’s on the thicker side. That review will come soon. This freebie is part of JE Parker’s debut series. This was not one of my favorites of the series but still a 5 star. That just shows you how amazing this whole series is, which is all on Kindle Unlimited, but you can pick this up for free today.

This book expands from the epilogue of Caught up With the Captain and setting up the next series. It lays down the premise and some of the characters, and I cant wait for more. It seems different from what we usually get from this author, but I’m excited for it

The series is complete! Sad to say the final book in the Nashville Fury series released today. But let me say, she saved the best for last. Off Limits is about Bryce’s (the lead in Off Season) sister and best friend. There’s more dynamic between them all that spills from the last book. You could absolutely read this last one as a stand alone, but I think there’s too much back story and history that you would miss out on. This is a brothers best friend/friends to lovers/sports romance. Friends to lovers is my favorite, so I really loved that aspect of the book. The brothers best friend was the most significant of the 3 though. This is where reading Off Season beforehand is helpful. I would also suggest setting aside time to read this one in full, because you won’t want to put it down. I was sneak reading at work, debating staying up way to late to finish, every interruption was an annoyance! I laughed out loud many times, just like with every Chelle Sloan book. There was a scene where it just rips your heart out, another where you want to through your eReader across the room, and scenes where you’re smiling like a loon, she really hits on all the emotions. She’s such a talented writer and just keeps getting better with every book. Free to read in Kindle Unlimited, so no excuses!

I’ve talked about Mignon Mykel before, shes one of my favorites. Her Prescott series still resonates with me. I’ve read every book at least twice, I love them all so much. This is a spin off series, and I love that there are mentions of Jonny’s wife Summer, and a hint at Porter’s wife Asher!

This book hooks you right from the beginning It’s book 2 in the series, but you can absolutely read it as a stand alone. I did read and enjoy book one, Free Bird, so of course I’ll say you should read that one first. This new series is based around the Douglas Group, a bunch of former military that now do private security type work, so there are a lot of characters for potential new books, which makes me happy. A couple of times, just trying to put myself in Kaelyn’s place, I got a little misty eyed. What she went thru to get her happy ending is unimaginable. I loved Hemming. Something about the big muscled, tattood bad boy with a big soft heart just makes me all warm and fuzzy. Add in his protective mode and I’m done. I couldn’t put this one down, yet didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait for more from Forever, Montana. Check out this and other books by Mignon Mykel on Kindle Unlimited today

Now that November is here, people are making their holiday TBR (to be read) lists. I have a couple of books that I love, that have become annual rereads, and a couple of new books I’ve read already this year. Some KU, some not, but I’m sure you’ll find something to enjoy this holiday season.

Number one on the list is Meghan Quinn’s the Romantic Pact. Love this book so much! This book made me add Germany at Christmas to my bucket list.

Another one I’ll be rereading again this year, the Christmas Blanket by Kandi Steiner. A second chance story that will really make you feel.

The next couple are very Hallmark movie esque. Jess Mastorakos has book 2 coming right before Thanksgiving, so I’m looking forward to that. Book one is Holly’s story, and book 2 will follow her brother Jack.

I read this one recently as an arc, and it kicked me off into reading Christmas books much earlier than I normally do.

One of my all time favorites, Kait Nolan has a bunch of Christmas books. I didn’t realize quite how many until I made this list. Wishful is a very festive town!

I adored every word of this story! I’m bummed to see the series come to an end, but hopefully we’ll still get glimpses in the future since the author writes all Marines, and there have been overlaps with other series. The first kiss scene was so sweet, and the ending was just perfect. There was a bit of an extra element to it that I wasnt expecting, but I loved the addition. I loved how all the mentions and appearances from characters thru the series were involved. I have read the previous books all before, so I was familiar with everyone and their story. Trying to be objective, the author does a good job of keeping you up to speed, and my opinion, only makes you want to read all of the other books. This was a great series ender for sure.

I think I’ve read every single other book from this author except for this book! Apparently ive just missed it the last couple of years. I picked it up this morning for free, and even though I normally don’t start reading Christmas books until after Thanksgiving, book 2 comes out the day before Thanksgiving, so I want to be up to date and ready for the new release. I’ll be checking this one out here in a couple of weeks.

Kait Nolan is always offering something free, and here is the first book of the Bad Boy Baker series. I believe it was only supposed to be a 3 book series, but lucky for us it grew to 5, plus a prequal which is also free. I definitely recommend picking up the prequal, it gives a lot of back story, it’s not just one of those that gives you the first couple of chapters of the real book. This prequal is it’s own story that is pretty important, it just doesn’t have a resolved happy ending. Don’t worry though, Mixed Up With the Marine does have a happy ending.
