I read these years ago when I was catching up on all books Mignon Mykel after I discovered Interference. I loved the. So much after reading in Kindle Unlimited, I bought the box set. I’m glad I did because she has an O’Gallagher spin off series coming out soon, so I just finished rereading this set. It had been so long since I read them, it was like reading them for the first time. I had forgotten so much. 4 shorter books make up the set following 3 siblings running an Irish pub. There’s enemies to lovers, a secret romance, a secret baby, falling for your best friends sibling, all kinds of good romance! Unfortunately as I write this, it’s not currently in KU, but 4 books for about $6 is still a good deal. Plus you can get some background on the new series coming up, starting with Drunk Girl, which of course I’ll post about when it comes out.

The Best I Ever Had by S.L. Scott

This was the first book I ever read from this author. I kept hearing about it and wanted to check it out. First, the cover feels a bit misleading (not that it’s not pretty to look at) but the majority of the book is college age, and I never saw anything that looked like that when I was in college! Anyway, I just loved the story. It’s It’s couple of different tropes, along with a whole lot of drama. The sexy times are good (and there are quite a few), they’re meaningful and special to the couple. Like they’re in there not just for the sake of having sex in a book, but for the actual moment. The things that happened were hard, but they were needed. Too many times you read a book and you just want to shake your fists and yell at the characters, but I really think it had to be this way. But it made the payoff that much sweeter. This will definitely not be my last S.L. Scott book.

What Lovers Do by Jewel E Ann

Gah this book! It’s one of those that you can’t put down, yet at the same time you don’t want it to end. I found myself sneaking off to the restroom at work just to read a few more pages. I loved, LOVED Shep and Sophie. I loved it all, their banter, every bit of their relationship all the mess along the way to a gooey sweet epilogue. I laughed out loud so many times, had I not been at work, I so would have cried. This is one I will read again for sure, it was that good. So far one of my top probably 3 books of the year.

Love on the Lake by Helena Hunting

I read the first book in the series, and it is referenced quite a bit, but I think the author does a good job of filling you in if you have not read it. This one got pretty heavy and I really wasn’t sure how things were going to end up, because things took a very different turn. It was a page turner for sure. I adored Aaron, I mean, he played football at Notre Dame, how could I not? Teagan had much more depth than we assumed from the first book, I really liked her a lot. I’m loving the series and am anxiously awaiting more. Oh, did I mention it’s free on Kindle Unlimited to both read and listen! I have not listened yet, just read it, so I can’t say how good the narration is.

Watch “Sweet Afternoons – Blueberry Beach Book 6 – Audiobook” on YouTube

I enjoy listening to audiobooks in the car or while I’m cleaning. You all know by now that I’m cheap, so I wanted to share some free audio books. This is apparently the latest thing for authors to put their books on YouTube. We get to listen for free, and they hope to get enough follows and listens to monetize their YouTube channel and everyone wins! Jay Dyess has put a ton of books that he’s narrated for Jessie Gussman, and I believe a couple of other authors, up for free listening. He only does clean. And I know Jessie Gussman’s are wholesome/Christian, so be warned! This is just one of the many books he’s done, check it out.
