A couple of Christmas books

Christmas At First Sight https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082VN9R8L/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_1W6WQ3D8VV7AT8R8DYF9

The link goes to a free book that I haven’t read, but the picture, I just finished that book and it was cute, kind of Hallmark special-ish. The ending was really sweet. I was surprised to see that First Christmas was the authors first book, so I went to see if there were more, and I grabbed the other book for free today. I have no idea how long it will be free though.

Free clean romance

Dating Mr. Darcy: A Laugh-Out-Loud Sweet Romantic Comedy (Love Manor Romantic Comedy Book 1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0893MNF98/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_6ZDZAGF7RXQ5QC0G7VCC

This was a cute story, Bachelor like, but based, or centered around a Jane Austin novel. I’m a lame reader and have not read the classics, so I’m sure there are plenty of references that I didn’t get because of it. But it’s cute and there are a couple of other books in the series, also on Kindle Unlimited.

Jock Romeo by Sara Ney

I think this is only the 2nd or 3rd book I’ve read from this author. I didn’t realize it was book 6 in the series, I’ve only read the previous book so far. But this works perfectly fine as a stand alone. It referenced some of the last book, but I think it’s enough to keep someone from feeling lost if they hadn’t read it. I don’t read much college romance, and I clearly don’t read enough with a nerdy guy! Roman was adorably awkward, I loved it. His family really added to the story in such a good way. I loved how they met. And I loved how the story ended. No cliffhanger. But a happy ending not fast forwarding years and years. They’re only 22, so I like knowing they have more story to tell. Even though college age isn’t my preference, I will likely keep going with the series.

Resolution (The Mason Family Series Book 5) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0937LJ9TC/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_5Z7HJAPJR8DQTTN56TW9

First I have to say I’m sad the Mason series is over. But man, what a way to end it! If you haven’t read from the beginning, it’s so worth it to start there. You’ll see Wade through each brothers story and it just makes his that much better of a payoff. It was addicting, and then a bomb drops, and you can’t fly thru the pages fast enough to see what happens. I absolutely loved the banter between Wade and Dara. And I was so happy to see more Rosie! The whole family is in it, it’s just that good. Grab this and the rest of the series now on Kindle Unlimited, these Mason’s make for a good binge read. And I’m sure everyone would love a mother/mother in law like Siggy Mason!

Chelle Sloan

Off the Market at Christmas: An Opposites Attract Holiday Romance (12 Days of Kissmas) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HMKXTJJ/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_227DH65A2ENGQXC6EPM7Even though it’s a short story, you really feel invested in the characters. Gavin was not like the usual romance guys out there, in a good way. You see the history, and when each of their secrets comes out, you can’t help but smile, waiting for the other to find out! I loved it, it’s sweet, (not clean, theres a nice little sexy scene in there) and gramps was a great secondary character.Chelle Sloan is a newer author, she’s released maybe 4 books now in the last year or so but I’ve really enjoyed them. She’s on Kindle Unlimited, so check out this and her other books soon.

What have I been reading…?

I’ve been MIA lately, the holidays will do that. I have been reading my share though! I’ve been working on Amy Daws Harris Brothers series over the last several weeks. I have them on my kindle at home, then my arcs on my phone for work or when I’m out and about. Yes, I can read 2 different books at the same time. Heck, throw an audio book in there for when I’m in the car and I frequently have 3 going at the same time. Normally this time of year I read Christmas theme, but I’m hooked on the Harris’s! I did read His For The Holidays by Samantha Chase and really enjoyed it. I’ve also been listening to Lydia Michaels Jasper Falls books. Out of order, but I read the books when they first came out, so it’s not like there were any surprises. But I can say I’m enjoying them just as much the second time around. I almost always listen to books I’ve already read, which is nice because I can enjoy them again in a different way, without taking the time to actually reread. Audio books are for in the car or while cleaning, so it works out for me. As soon as I get thru the Harris Brothers, I will go full on Christmas for the next 18 days! I’ll check back if I’ve found anything really good to pass along.

San Diego Marines Series

The whole series is FREE!! I owned a few of the books but borrowed the couple that I didn’t have on KU and read this whole series recently. It’s clean, and I really enjoyed it. The author is a military wife, so she knows her stuff. But my goodness, for free, grab them now!
