I have to preface this one, I have NOT read it yet. A friend recommended Melanie Harlow to me a while ago, and I keep meaning to read her, I’ve even stocked up on a couple of books, but other obligations keep putting her on the back burner. So grab it while it’s free, and maybe you can tell me how much you enjoyed it!

One Good Thing by Jennifer Milliken

I’ve read several books by this author before and really enjoyed them. I saw this come available on Hidden Gems recently and I jumped on it without even reading the description. I had barely started when I realized this book takes place right after Beyond the Pale, which was so, so good! I don’t normally like love triangles, but Beyond was so well written. I really recommend you read Beyond before this one, since so many details are referenced in this book. There was a little something that I saw coming, but not how. I know, vague, but you know I don’t like to give spoilers. But it wasn’t so annoying that I guessed it early on, because I was still curious on how it would happen. My only complaint of the book was the sex scenes. I don’t need graphic, because I enjoy reading clean books that don’t even have any sex at all, but I hate closed door sex scenes. You feel like you skipped a page, almost a you’re not sure if they did or didn’t do anything situation. And the fact that this book isn’t actually clean, the closed door one really bugs me. The light sex that is in the book is fine. It works, you know that it happened. The closed door just really disappointed me, I felt like it should have been something more significant. But honestly that’s the only complaint I have. As I write this, both books are available on Kindle Unlimited, so no excuse to not read both!

I honestly am not sure off the top off my head if I’ve read this or not. I have read quite a few books by this author before, and for the most part, enjoyed them. So I can’t promise this one is a 5 star read, but overall her stuff is good
