Loved this story! Chelle Sloan can write amazing wit and banter and chemistry, I just love her books. Kat was such a great character, I can’t say enough good things about her, about Grayson, about all the crazy turns this story took. I loved every single word, I laughed so many times, and I was shocked to get a bit misty there for a second. Another fantastic holiday book!
And let me just add, since Chelle Sloan is one of my favorite authors, you should join her Facebook group, because I’m she’ll be telling her story about her fued with a former Hallmark actress. Hence, the hilarious dig she snuck into this story.

I’m not sure how I missed it, unless the link wasn’t available in my arc copy, but this is a must-read bonus scene. I usually download the bonus epilogue when I loved the book, so when I saw this in the Piper Rayne newsletter, I grabbed it. Easily one of the best bonus scenes I’ve read. Make sure you grab yours as soon as you finish reading (or listening) to the book. Heck, go grab it now before you forget, it’s absolutely worth the effort
This was a whole lot more than my normal reads. I was a little leery when I read some of the description. I’ve been reading the series, so I was definitely checking it out, I just wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy it. It was interesting to say the least. There are several topics that might be too much, or triggering for some readers, and the author has put a whole list together for those that may need it. I don’t have any specific triggers, so I skimmed it after I finished.
I’ve been reading this series all along, and I was looking forward to Bennett’s book, because I love a widower story. As I started this one, I saw it going in a direction I did not like, and I almost quit reading. Had I not read so many books from them already, I may have. I told myself to trust the process and kept going. I hit a point where I was hooked, I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with these two and this entire family. There was so much to it, the perceived feelings of Bennett, Wren, and how spectacular she was, Delaney, Leia, all of it. I love how the past was delivered, this was one of my favorites from these authors. I’m so glad I didn’t quit on it.
