This was unusual. I’m having a hard time putting it in words. It was a weird game of chicken. It went on a little too long for me, especially when all the lines were blurred. I couldn’t quite figure out why. Some of the things were amusing, so it kept me going, curious as to how it was going to play out. Not my favorite from this author, but I’m sure others will really enjoy it.

I’m still working on reading books from this author, so I wasn’t familiar with characters yet. I enjoyed the story overall, but I didn’t like how long it took to figure out why Jess hated Powell so much. It just made it hard to root for them when we, the reader didn’t know why she was mad in the first place. I did like the bonus epilogue, not just another excuse for another bedroom scene like some books have. I also liked that it wasn’t clean, but not overly dirty either.

This book felt like two parts. The first part, us getting the back story, and the characters struggling with all their feelings and history. Then the second part was them coming together and figuring things out. As I just finished it, it feels like forever ago that they started this adventure. Second chances can break your heart, but they can also be okay, because you know it wasn’t their time before. Somehow this book does both. Plus appearances from our friends in Friendship! I loved how all the parts came together and how love can heal. I love that deep down, Jude never gave up, even when he should have. And I just adored Percy and his brother.

I think this one is my favorite of the series. I love a grumpy sunshine, and this delivers. It was fun how they found their way into each other’s lives and how much they helped each other. There were some pretty funny scenes too that I was not expecting to make me laugh like they did. I’m definitely interested in felicity and Jackson’s book, even though enemies to lovers is not a favorite. I mean, I definitely want to see more of Fredrik and Noelle anyway.
