Man I loved this story. We met Jack the gruff motel owner in the other books, and he is all you could ask for and more. Such a grumpy outside, and the sweetest protector inside. I adored him. The way he steps in and takes charge, yet little kids are still drawn to him. There was a heckbof a twist and an exciting ending with a perfect happily ever after, I enjoyed this story and all of these characters. Lucy was adorable, and there were scenes that just melted my heart. I loved seeing more to Jack Powell than the grumpy guy we first met. I’m looking forward to more books in this series.
