So my Goodreads and Bookbub reviews need tweaking. I didn’t realize and thought this was a brand new series. When I pulled up Worth the Fight on Amazon, it said I already owned one of the books, but for the life of me, the title was not familiar at all. Turned out its Cuffed, Cockpit and Combust all being released!
I just loved this story. I loved the characters, both primary and all the supporting cast, so much. Grady was portrayed with such depth- at times, masking things seemingly well, yet struggling so hard others, and Dylan’s support on top of her own transformation was so enjoyable to see. I love the found family as well as the brothers. I cried a little, I laughed a little, there was all kinds of emotion going on. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

So good. So, so good. Quinn is a character that so many of us can see traits of ourselves in. She’s got such depth of character. She’s funny, sarcastic, and has amazing lines. Quick whitted, but also vulnerable, flawed, scared, and insecure. There are so many parts to this story. The beginning drops with no build-up -boom, we’re in the middle of it! Then what happens in Quinn’s career, her home life, and everything in between. I have so many things to say, but I refuse to spoil. Such hysterical lines, a movie reference that I was laughing about before I even finished reading the page, my mind when straight to the movie! I recommend turning your ticker off when you read it. You don’t want the distraction of the clock. I kept looking at it at different points, and my mind started to drift to where the book could be going. Don’t let yourself go there, trust in Chelle (and Dolly Parton) that she takes it in the exact perfect direction. Also, I wish I had taken note of all of Quinn’s pranks! I’ve written all of this and haven’t even mentioned Porter yet, Quinn is that fantastic of a character, I don’t even need to gush about him. If this is your first Chelle Sloan book, welcome to the club! If you’ve read her before, you don’t even need reviews, you already know how amazing she is.

I usually don’t post until release day, but I didn’t want to sit on this one.

I didn’t realize this was a spin off of the previous series, so I was hoping to get more and now I know I will!

I loved getting Courtney’s story, and the heartbreaking second chance that she deserved. Spencer deserved a happy ending just as much, and I just loved seeing it play out. This may be classified under enemies to lovers, but if that’s not your jam, don’t be afraid. It’s more second chance. It’s found family. It’s forced proximity, more than just one trope. Can’t wait for more.

This does not feel like the first book of a new series. This felt like a well worn pair of jeans, just comfortable and perfect. There’s romance and all kinds of family dynamic. Almost a love at first sight, even though these two have known each other forever. I loved the small town setting, the relaxed feel to the story. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait for more

I already read and posted my review for the ebook. I decided to wait as long as I could and then do a reread with the audio. And it was HILARIOUS! I definitely recommend listening to it if you’re a fan of audio books. The narrators do such a good job, and it’s duet! Duet is my absolute favorite, and I know they’re not as common because they’re more expensive, but this one is worth it. Heck, even when Hudson is talking to Hardy, you forget it’s the same voice! To hear some of the scenes come to life in narration, my gosh, next level entertainment. If you can only afford to get one version of this, splurge on the audio! And probably don’t listen in public, unless you don’t care about people thinking your crazy for laughing out loud.
