I’ve loved all of these hockey books, and even though enemies to lovers isn’t one of my favorites, MQ is, so of course I read it anyway. I wouldn’t really call this enemies to lovers though. There are several references to a Friends episode that if you’ve seen it, makes it all the funnier in this book. Hopefully if you haven’t seen the episode, it still translates well. As with most books from this author, there is great banter and text conversations (and she did not use the new text bubble format that many authors have been using lately, that is difficult to read in my phone, yay!) I hate that this specific series is over, but there has to be a spin off series coming, right?

I adored this story! I’ve read a few books by this author before, but not a lot. Since this was a hockey book, I didn’t hesitate, I love a good sports romance. I had a smile on my face thru practically the whole book. It was so cute and sweet and honestly I almost didn’t notice that it was clean. There was plenty of chemistry, and I swear, the buildup to the first kiss was so memorable and so different than other books. I enjoyed this one a lot, so cute and fun and a perfect light, happy read. The narrators both did a great job, I loved the female. She was so good woth showing emotions, and actually laughed,and she has the cutest giggle. I would listen to both of them anytime.

I know it was just a prequal, but it ended too soon! I had just realized who Alex was when it was just about over. I cannot wait for more! I love that we’re still getting books set in Scotland. I’ve never been, but I’m really enjoying the change of scenery.
Kait Nolan has been putting out these prequals for her last few series, and I’m loving the little tastes. This is a short read, but definitely got me hooked for more.

I did not realize that this was book 3 of a series until I came to leave a review. Obviously I have not read books 1 and 2, and didn’t feel like I was missing a thing. There was a scene that almost hinted, but I assumed it was characters from another series, so subtle I never felt lost, which I appreciate now knowing this wasn’t book 1. I’ve only read a few books from this author, and not the other racing books. Well, I haven’t finished any other racing books. I’ve started and stopped the Driven series a couple of times and just struggled. It might just be too long for me. So I went into this book cautiously because of it. As I’m not into the sport in real life, I didn’t expect to enjoy this one as much as I did. Something about the description made me curious, and I’m glad I read it, it was an enjoyable story. I liked that for how many characters were involved, it never felt overwhelming, everything made sense. There were some really sweet scenes, but it was not without some action and drama. I definitely need to go back and find books 1 and 2 now.

This is the first book of this series that I’ve read. I have a feeling had I started from the beginning, this would be a 5 star read. There were so many layers to the story, both past and present. Once I hit the midway point of the book, I flew to the end. Kyle’s relegation with his parents was huge, the scenes in court were jaw dropping. The sweet scenes with sebastian were just adorable. So many pieces made up their love story, and although it felt like it happened instantly, clearly it happened over many years. This book has quite a few tropes, second chance, one bed, misunderstanding (but not in a yell at your kindle kind of way!) Unexpected pregnancy, single mom, sports romance, like a said, a lot!
