Anyone who has found this blog knows my love for Kait Nolan. I will read pretty much whatever she writes, including this cute little novelette based on actual events, no less.
I loved this little peek at Zeke and Pippa! We knew there was something going with them way back in the beginning when he fell in love with her cheese. I thought this book was a great snack of a story still set in the Scotland world. Loved it.

I had a hard time deciding how many stars for this. Parts I enjoyed, parts I didn’t care for, parts annoyed me. This may be a little too detailed, but i dont know how else to justify my thoughts. What I liked, how Sawyer brought out the best in Kiralee. I loved that he really saw her, and didn’t influence her as to what decisions to make, he just guided her to help her believe in herself. That was the best part of the book. I did not like how kiralee never had a showdown with her parents or birch. That was a let down for me. I did not like how the storyline went with Sheldon. I see his purpose in coming to town, but I guess I couldn’t understand his and Sawyer’s dynamic. It was toxic, which Sawyer knew, yet he still seemed willing to blow up his own life to bail him out when he already said never again. Sawyer just seemed too smart to let himself be scammed, it was out of character for him based on the rest of the book. Just like when I finished book 1, I’m undecided if I will continue with the series. The next book is friends to lovers, which is my favorite trope, so I may not be able to resist.
