Normally I’m not ready to read Christmas themed books this early, but I couldn’t resist this one. So cute! I love small town romance, and the cast of characters is so entertaining. Henry was adorable and I loved that he got to have sweet, family holiday. There’s a lot of nookie involved, and all kinds of traditional holiday stuff. Kind of like a dirty hallmark movie. And I love that it looks like we’re getting another book from small town Idaho too!

Anyone who has been following me here knows that I am not big on enemies to lovers, but I will read anything Adriana Locke writes. This was a good one. There was legit justification and explanation for all the feelings making them enemies. That I can get on board with. I’ve read some that they’re just plain mean for no good reason, and I can never buy into the hate turning to love. This was not that, I promise. This book went so fast too. One minute I’m a 3rd of the way in, the next I’m almost done, I couldn’t believe it. I appreciated the balance of familial relationships, and so loved Waffles! I swear, a pet or a kid makes or breaks a book sometimes depending on how they’re used in the story. I liked the premise of these two being forced together. I just wished there was more. I’d love to have a bonus epiloge of them seeing each others footage, or just something more from all of it. Basically this story ended too soon, I want more of these two!

Oliver and Izzy might be my new favorite couple. We knew Oliver’s book was going to be something, Mr Serial Proposer, but I didn’t anticipate quite how fun it was going to be seeing him find his true match. I loved everything about this book, their meeting, courtship, the cameos/crossover. The villains that get theirs, it was all so good. I’m trying so hard not to spoil a thing, because that’s how I love to read, just go in blind. If this is your first Chelle Sloan book, it won’t be your last. If you’ve read her before, you already know you’re going to love it. Be prepared to both laugh and swoon, sometimes simultaneously.

I listened to the audio of this and really enjoyed it. The narrators did such a great job of bringing these two to life. I just loved listening to these two! This story was so much fun, no matter what format you take it in.

I don’t want to compare authors, but not many make me laugh out loud, Chelle Sloan is one of them, right up there with Meghan Quinn. Chelle Sloan writes these great southern woman who can bless your heart with such sass, you can’t not love them. Oh, and she always makes sure the slimy exes are put in their place!

Stella was on her way to be a stepford wife, until she woke up one day and remembered that she was better than that. I love how her and Emmett met, and met again. And how not only Stella got her groove back, but Emmett figured out his stuff too.

This may be a new series, but it’s not totally new. It’s Rolling Hills, it’s Simon’s family, it’s cameo appearances and mentions, so it all feels safe and familiar. If you have not read a Chelle Sloan book yet, what are you waiting for?!

Leave it to Meghan Quinn to make a dirty Suess inspired Christmas book! The narrator portion totally made this story, because I one hundred percent read it like How the Grinch Stole Christmas narrates. I really appreciated the emotional parts of this as well. Why Cole was the way he was, and Storee drifting from her family and not being festive. Some things actually hit a little close to home for me, so I appreciated all the humor thrown in. This could easily be a new Christmas romance classic to read every year.

It took me longer than normal to get through this, not because it wasn’t good, but I think it’s just too soon for me for Christmas stuff. I’m not one who watches Hallmark Christmas movies year round. I keep it pretty strict to after Thanksgiving only. So if you’re at all like me. You might want to wait a month or so, but this is absolutely worth picking up and reading.

I’ve read a hand full of books by this author, and when I started this one, I was afraid it was going to be too dark and heavy for me. But it wasn’t, I was hooked! I’ve been on such a romantic suspense kick, still suffering from a book hangover from Reclaimed by A M Wilson, that this book got me through it. There were twists that I didn’t see coming, and anticipation that kept me up late getting it finished. I love this found family they created, this bubble of normalcy. Slowly seeing the pieces of Charleigh’s past unfold, catching up to her present, while also separately seeing the things that made who River was was interesting. It was kind of weird, the flash back chapters being in 3rd person, when present day was 1st. I get it for the separation, but it was different. Nolan was adorable, and Raven was such a good character, I can’t wait for her book!

I’ve been reading this series all along, and Austin’s story is not what I expected! I’m so head I went in blind, because I know I would have had preconceived bias against the story. But as it unfolded, things made sense, and weren’t at all what I expected. I’ve been on a romantic suspense kick, so this was great. I loved the wait and see, not knowing. More than once I had to remind myself that it had to have a happy ending. Still didn’t know how it would turn out, but it was oh so happy! I just loved these two together and it was a great wrap up to the series.

This has been a great series based in a super quirky small town. This one was romantic suspense lite, which I enjoyed. It was fun seeing Dakota be her crazy self, and having a guy get her. Someone to calm her a little. And she helped balance him too. And for a clean romance, it definitely had some steamy kisses and skated the lines with language,which I also appreciated. You don’t need to swear, but it made for some funny scenes at the almosts. There was a lotbgoing on, and this is probably my second favorite book of the series (hard to top Somebody to Lean on)
